National Fire Academy Travel Reimbursement: State Allowances

Students eligible for travel reimbursement: find out what your reimbursement amount is for an on-campus course.

State ceiling allowances ($)

You will receive full reimbursement for airfare provided your ticket is a 21-day advance purchase, nonrefundable, economy coach-class ticket, and you travel on the days listed in your acceptance email. If you don't meet the ticket and travel day requirements, you could be limited to the state allowance listed below.

  • Traveled by bus, train or personally owned vehicle.
  • Did not purchase or show proof of nonrefundable fare.
  • Took side trips or had an extended stayover.
